New restaurant listings for Balfour Brut Rose
18th May 2011
Celebrated chefs Jason Atherton (former Maze Restaurant) and Marcus Wareing have opened the doors of their brand new restaurants this year and have both chosen to list the quintessentially English Balfour Brut Rosé in their Wine Menu.
The location chosen by Wareing was the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. He said: “The minute I set foot in St Pancras I just knew it was for me; the building is breathtaking and has an amazing sense of time and place that I had to be a part of. This is not another Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley, there can only be one, it is a very different venture and immensely exciting. The Gilbert Scott is a huge move for me and I could not have even considered it without a strong and loyal team behind me. I am thrilled to offer the management platform to Chantelle, I know that together we will continue to lead in excellence and offer a memorable experience to everyone who visits us.”
Jason Atherton has chosen Pollen Street, from which he has taken the name of his Restaurant – Pollen St Social- which is already receiving rave reviews from respected newspapers, such as The Guardian: “Jason Atherton’s first post-Ramsay venture is fun, informal and customer-friendly. It’s the polar opposite of what we’ve come to expect of ‘fine dining’. And it’s also properly brilliant.”
The only Michelin Star Pub in London has also chosen the Balfour as their house “Champagne”. The Harwood Arms, located in Fulham, has decided to use British fizz as their main sparkling for the first time, after being impressed with the quality of our Brut Rosé!
In London, Chez Bruce (Wandsworth) and the Bennet Oyster Bar and Brasserie (Battersea) also have started offering our wine to their customers, which is sure to be a hit.
